Equipment for washing livestock carcasses
To wash animals and their carcasses during processing, various shower devices of chamber and pass-through type, as well as washing machines are used.
Washing equipment can include both pre-slaughter washing chambers and machines for washing carcasses and meat before and after primary processing.
Washing equipment and processing line configuration is selected to suit your production process to maximize the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of your business.
Chamber-type shower systems (Before slaughter)
Chamber shower systems are designed for washing animals before slaughter – a room with a piping system that provides water from different sides. Such chambers usually provide water from all sides of the chamber, including the ceiling and floor, for the most effective washing.
Drum washing machine (Before and/or after primary processing)
Used for washing animal carcasses before and after exsanguination. The machine consists of two frames. The machine consists of several frames, inside each frame a brush drum is installed at an angle. Irrigation pipes with nozzles are installed above the drums, through which water is supplied from the water supply network for washing carcasses. Outside, the drums are covered with covers. The drums rotate toward each other, and as the carcass passes between the brushes, it is washed and mechanical contaminants are removed.
Carcass washing and polishing (Before and/or after primary processing)
The carcass washing and polishing machines are designed to keep carcasses in optimal hygienic condition. Optimal cleaning is achieved by using flexible scrapers that rotate at the correct speed. Dirt is removed from the skin in the pre-washing machine, which significantly improves the scalding process and prevents contamination of the scalding water. Detached hairs and moisture are removed from the carcass skin in the pre-drying machine, which increases heating efficiency. In the polishing machine, the surface of the leather is intensively cleaned. The combination of horizontal and vertical rollers with scrapers ensures a very thorough cleaning.
Flame oven (After pre-washing)
During the final cleaning of the carcass, the remaining bristles and skin are burned off in a flame oven. Flame ovens can be used to disinfect carcasses, thus significantly extending their shelf life. The flame oven consists of gas-air mixing columns and burners. These burners are grouped in such a way as to ensure uniform heating of the carcass of a characteristic shape and to optimize the heating effect. The combustion air is forced in by fans.
