This is the original fully automatic friction smoke generator which is equipped with the pneumatic press system.Three different sizes of smoke generator are available from artisan to industrial.
The principle of operation of the friction smoke generator
A friction smoke generator generates the smoke by pressing a wooden rod against a fast-turning metal wheel. The smoke density is determined by two adjustable factors: The pressure of the wooden rod against the rotating friction wheel and the combination of work and pause intervals. A wood store hopper allows the wood to be changed quickly and long-term smoking (e.g. on weekends).
The friction smoke generator has ideal characteristics for cold smoking
In addition, the perfect programming capability allows smoke to be generated in seconds. Because the smoke generation temperature per friction interval rises from approx. + 100 °C to max. + 380 °C, the resulting smoke has excellent, mild aroma properties and generates a beautiful smoke colour. Thanks to the low temperatures in the smoke generation process the FrictionSmoker has ideal cold smoking properties since without chamber heating the smoke temperature is only slightly higher than the ambient temperature.
Depending on the size of the unit, various models are available.
