Blast freezers (shock freezers)
A blast freezer is designed for rapid cooling and freezing of food, semi-finished products, berries, vegetables and fruits, meat and fish.
These blast freezers typically take up a small footprint and offer excellent capabilities. Depending on the needs of your business, we can offer you a small blast froster, as well as a medium or large blast freezer for a different number of gastronorm containers.
Shock freezers – intensive cooling and blast freezing
A blast chiller is essentially an intensive cooling and blast freezing chamber. A blast chiller is ideal for rapidly cooling and/or freezing hot food directly from the oven or stove. The blast chiller/freezer models come with a variety of pre-set programs that allow for ease of use of the unit.
The basic programs are pre-configured to maintain a fixed final temperature until the cabinet is opened. Blast freezers typically operate in the following temperature ranges – from +70 to +3°C (in 90 minutes), and from +70 to -18°C in 240 minutes.
If necessary, we can offer blast chillers with other temperature conditions. For industrial scale blast freezers with remote cold, we offer a CO₂ (R744) refrigerant cooling system. These systems are environmentally friendly and provide significant energy savings, in some cases achieving a 25-40% reduction in energy consumption.
