Abrasive peeling machine
The washed and size-calibrated potatoes are automatically fed into the peeler on a conveyor belt. The carborundum (abrasive) peeler is equipped with a large inlet funnel, a screw auger and peeling rollers that can be quickly disassembled for quick replacement if necessary.
The rollers are equipped with a hard carborundum coating, the specifics of which are adapted to the product to be cleaned (recommended types of abrasive grit are coarse, medium, and fine).
The retention time of the product in the cleaner is controlled by the speed of the screw auger and the speed of the abrasive rollers. Water sprayers are installed above the product for additional cleaning.
Knife peeling vegetables
Knife peeling is suitable for potatoes and other vegetables. Knife peeling easily removes “eyes”, scabs, and minor damage to potatoes and other vegetables, giving the product a marketable appearance.
One of the main advantages of this machine is that the shape of the peeled finished product will be similar to the original shape of the product. That is, the percentage of waste does not depend on the shape. The knife peeler is selected according to the product and the technological process.
Another advantage of knife peeling is the absence of product beating inside the drum, which has a positive effect on the appearance of the product and its shelf life.
Steam peeler (steam cleaning)
The device is designed for peeling root vegetables from the peel with saturated water steam. It is suitable for beetroot, carrot, potato and other vegetables. The cleaning method is parothermic (the peel is scalded and easily comes off the vegetables). The main advantage is that the percentage of waste is lower than with the abrasive cleaning method.
The device consists of screw conveyors (dosing and unloading), a frame, a tank, electrical equipment, and communications for steam, water, and air. Root vegetables are continuously fed into the hopper of the screw conveyor, and when it is full, the drive is switched on, providing a dosed supply of root vegetables to the inner cavity of the tank.
Brush peeling machine for vegetables
The rotary brush peeler consists of brush rollers that form a long drum. The drum and rollers rotate separately and have independent speed controls.
The drum is capable of working in two directions and has a spray pipe inside the drum. The direction of spray can be changed depending on the filling and the direction of rotation of the drum. The retention time in the machine is controlled by an adjustable rotary valve at the end of the drum.
